Catherine Park. Hermitage Pavilion.
Catherine Park is a park within the Tsarskoe Selo State Museum-Reserve. Located in the city of Pushkin near St. Petersburg, an architectural monument of the 18th-19th centuries. Together with the Alexander Park, it is an integral part of the Tsarskoye Selo imperial residence and got its name from the Catherine Palace located in it. The Hermitage Pavilion was built in 1744-1754 and is located on an artificial island, which can only be reached by drawbridge over the moat. A two-storey octahedral pavilion with four annexes on the sides. Sixty-four decorative columns, stucco garlands, shells, masks, lush window frames, openwork balcony lattice do not leave smooth surfaces. The combination of the dazzling whiteness of the columns, pilasters, platbands on the pale turquoise background of the walls with gilding of some details creates a wonderful color scheme.
