The Holy Trinity Alexander Nevskaya Lavra is a male Orthodox monastery at the eastern end of Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg. The first and largest monastery in the city. Since 1797 it has had the status of a laurel.
The architectural complex includes several famous necropolises, where many prominent figures of the 18th-19th centuries are buried.
