On one of the gently sloping "Tiger Hill" is the "Villa of the Green Mountain". Built in the tenth year of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the villa was famous for its beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes and its magnificent gardens. In these gardens a huge collection of peng jing (bonsai) dwarf trees was collected. Peng Jing is the art of restraining the growth of individual trees and making mini-landscapes from them.
