Aixingero Hongli - the sixth Chinese emperor of the Qing Dynasty, ruled under the motto "Qianlong" (Unwavering and Glorious). Qianlong ruled for 59 years (1736-1795) This is one of the longest reigns in Chinese history.
The Qing Dynasty Imperial Sightseeing Tours were unique in Chinese history. These body searches were part of a strategy to expand and strengthen the Manchu Empire. During his reign, Emperor Kangxi undertook six southern sightseeing tours. The Kangxi Emperor's grandson, Qianlong, followed suit and also made six southern tours.
