Sergei Ivanovich Bordyug (1953) - St. Petersburg artist and graphic artist, book illustrator. Born in the Murmansk region, in the family of a naval officer; in Leningrad he graduated from art school, then the Academy of Arts, where he studied with Professor Epifanov. In 1979 he illustrated his first books for "Detgiz" - a collection of fairy tales and poems by Galina Novitskaya. In total, he designed several dozen children's fiction and popular science books - legends and myths of Ancient Egypt and Greece, fairy tales by Wilhelm Hauff, the Grimm brothers, Charles Perrault, verses by Marshak and Chukovsky, stories by Sladkov.
