Masks
A mask is an object, a patch on the face, which is worn either to hide the identity, or to protect the face. Masks have been used for ceremonial, aesthetic, and practical purposes. In ancient times, masks were used as protection and defense against evil spirits. Masks can be made from a variety of materials: wood, metal, plaster, fabric, leather, papier-mâché and many others. The mask is usually shaped like a human face and has slots for the eyes, mouth and nose.
