Susan Rios
The artist Susan Rios has been painting her cozy, pastel, sometimes decorative pictures - panels for 30 years. Susan worked as a flower designer early in her career, but soon found mixing colors a bit like mixing colors on a palette. This prompted her to try herself in painting. And to this day, flowers are the ubiquitous motif of many of her paintings, like other "favorite things" - wicker chairs, white embroidered tablecloths, lace, antique porcelain and teapots, birds and butterflies. She paints her paintings in her cozy home studio in the Griffith Park area, California.
