Severin Roesen
The artist Severin Roesen was born in 1815 in Cologne, Germany. In 1848, the artist immigrated to North America and very soon became one of the most popular and sought-after American artists - the artist's work was very popular with the middle American class. Severin Roesen became famous for his colorful juicy still lifes. Since 1848, the artist's work has been regularly exhibited in New York, in the North American Art Union. However, after 1872, traces of the Severin Roesen were lost. At exhibitions, he was no longer exhibited and no one saw the paintings painted after 1872.
