Paulie Rollins
Birds by American artist Paulie Rollins. “I love to play with colors in any form, from watercolors, pencils and pastels, to acrylics and oils. My work can be found in private collections around the world and in several publications. Fans are a constant source of inspiration for me, they make me look at the world with a brush in hand, preparing to capture the ever-changing beauty of mother nature. Most of the paintings are created where life is in full swing and only bad weather makes me transfer everything to the studio. However, sometimes life goes by so quickly that I have to entrust my art of memory, and I find myself recording life in the strangest, most beautiful colors and shapes! Brown frogs come out of my brushes like shiny blue, green eyes are now lavender because flowers have suppressed my common sense and I think for some of us artists , life seen through rose-colored glasses can be a truly wonderful world. " Due to health problems Rollins had to switch from oil painting to pyrography - "It takes a million times longer to paint a painting of fire, but for me it is a very enjoyable and soothing way to continue painting portraits of songbirds that keep me company here at my studio.
