Mary Ann Vessey
Mary Ann Vessey is a contemporary American artist from Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. Mary is a self-taught artist who started painting in the early 1980s when she had to stay at home to take care of the children. She writes with acrylics, pastels, but most of all with oils. Her paintings are often very personal, the plots are made up of personal memories and photographs passed through her own "creative mentality". Her stories, told with the help of brushes and paints, make the viewer peer into the paintings and plunge into a simple life full of joyful and interesting events.
