Makovsky Konstantin
In terms of popularity among collectors, the works of Konstantin Egorovich Makovsky (the eldest of the sons of the Makovsky dynasty of artists) are comparable only to the paintings of Aivazovsky, one of the most prolific Russian masters. Makovsky's worldwide fame was so great that it was his Americans who invited him to paint the first presidential portrait of Theodore Roosevelt. The lion's share of his works ended up in private collections.
