Lavro bone
Kost Lavro was born on one of the "Gogol" farms near Dikanka. He took the pencil in hand when he was still very small - he already liked the black-and-white illustrations of "Ukrainian folk tales". Once the father showed his son's drawings to a teacher who helped Kostya prepare for entering the Republican Art School, and then there was the army, the institute and work as an art editor. And how subtly national traits are felt: the scarf is tied in the Ukrainian style, and the fat Patsyuk's mustache is Ukrainian, and even the freckles on his nose subtly remind of the Ukrainian blessed sun ... And they are, of course, closer to us than to anyone else. ...
