Josephine Wall
Jigsaw puzzles based on Josephine Wall paintings are one of the most numerous in the site's collection, which means they are the most loved ones. A bright, rich palette, always an interesting, ambiguous plot, which can be difficult to understand if you get a glimpse of the picture. But in the process of collecting more and more unexpected details and characters appear, the intricacies of additional storylines are revealed. A puzzle game's true dream! Josephine Wall was born in May 1947 in the town of Farnham (England) in the family of a professor of philology. Already in childhood, she surprised adults with an unusual perception of visual images, and from the age of four she began to show interest in light, color and drawing. Gradually, this hobby grew stronger, and the girl realized that her whole life would be connected with painting. Already at the age of 16, she sold her first painting, graduated from Bournemouth College in 1967 and became interested in ceramic design, glass painting, stained-glass windows and small sculptural compositions with insects, animals and mythological creatures. The result of all her searches was an appeal to painting, in which the artist was able to realize the free flight of fantasy, love of fairy tales, fantasy and a long-standing passion for surrealism. In 1993, she signed with F.J. Warren, and her magical paintings in the form of postcards, posters and albums were finally seen by the whole world. "The art of painting is for me more than a career," she says, "it's my obsession and love for color and shape." Josephine works in the fantasy genre and paints with bright acrylic paints, in principle not using black. Her style cannot be confused with any other - colorful, joyful, multifaceted and at the same time refined, airy. Pure magic!
