Jose Escofet
Jose Escofet was born in Spain, in the capital Barcelona, in 1930. He was originally a self-taught artist. He experimented a lot with cement, latex, gouache. Only in the last decade has he taken up oil painting. Eme liked working with oil, as it allowed him to achieve great subtlety and depth in the image, a sense of life in the picture. Jose Escofet always prepared oil paints for his paintings himself. The artist's favorite subject is the world of flowers. In his works, he reflects their life, observes their growth, movement, interaction with soil, other plants and insects. The artist demonstrates the wide possibilities of this genre. Over the years, Jose Escofet has garnered admiration from the viewer, consistently contributing to the patronage of avid collectors in the US and other countries.
