Johannes Bartholomeus Duntze
Johannes Bartholomäus Duntze (Johannes Bertolomaus Duntze) (1823-1895) - German landscape painter, one of the representatives of the famous Dusseldorf school. Born in Rablinghausen near Bremen, he studied painting in Munich, in Berlin under the guidance of Kraus, from 1851 to 1855 - in Geneva with the famous A. Kalam. Duntze undertook many study trips to Paris, Norway, Switzerland, Tyrol, Holland, Belgium. Over the years, his works have been exhibited in Switzerland, Germany, England. Since 1876, the artist finally settled in Dusseldorf. Duntze's paintings were included in the collections of museums in Bern, Hanover, Stuttgart, the Ariana Museum in Geneva and others, as well as private collections in Europe and America.
