Jean Beraud
Jean Beraud (1849 - 1936) - French painter, known primarily for his genre works, depicting the life of Paris in his time of the secular Parisian public. Bero's characters are bourgeois living in the heart of Paris. They go to the theater, sit in cafes, walk along the boulevards of Saint-Denis and the Capuchins. Jean Béraud's work is usually attributed to salon painting (which, however, is true, since the artist's paintings were very popular in Parisian art salons, where they were often exhibited), but in some of his works the influence of impressionism is obvious.
