Jean-Baptiste Robie
Jean-Baptiste Robie (1821-1910) - Belgian painter, studied at the Royal Academy of Arts of Brussels. The artist became very famous for his magnificent still lifes with lush flowers and ancient vases. Jean-Baptiste Robie made a great contribution to the writing of still life - it was he who managed to find the fine line between romanticism and realism. The artist took an active part in the artistic life of Brussels, exhibited in Salons, at exhibitions, and received a number of medals.
