Jan Brueghel the Younger
Jan Bruegel the Younger (Dutch. Jan Bruegel de Jonge; September 13, 1601 - September 1, 1678) - Flemish artist, representative of the Bruegel dynasty, grandson of Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Jan II copied the work of his father and sold them under his signature, and although in general the quality of his work never surpassed the quality of Jan I's canvases; it is rather difficult to distinguish between the later works of Bruegel I and his son. Jan II painted about 340 paintings, including landscapes, religious, mythological and allegorical subjects, still lifes and introduced a new genre - animals against the background of a landscape.
