Henri Gascar
Artist Henri Gascar (Henri Gascar) was born in 1635 in the family of a little-known French painter and sculptor. His father became the first teacher of painting for Henri Gascar. Henri painted portraits of court ladies and aristocrats, created a whole gallery of portraits of the mistresses of the English monarch. As a result, Henri Gascar became not only famous, but also very wealthy. Returning to Paris, the famous artist was elected a member of the Royal Academy. It happened in October 1680. A few months after being elected to the academy, Henri Gascar left for Rome, where he lived and worked successfully until his death in January 1701.
