Ginny Ruffner
Ginny Ruffner was born in 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. A glass sculptor and painter, she creates delightful glass fantasies. In the early 1980s, she moved to Seattle and taught at the Pilchuck Glass School. In 1991, she had an accident, doctors did not believe that she would ever be able to walk and talk again. Although Ruffner still had problems walking and speaking, this did not stop the magnificent sculptor. On the contrary, her works became known all over the world. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cooper-Hewitt Museum, Corning Glass Museum, Detroit Institute of the Arts and Smithsonian Museum of American Art, and in 42 museums around the world.
