Georges Croegaert
Georges Kreigayart (1848-1923) was a Belgian academic painter. Born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1848, graduated from the Royal Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts, and spent most of his life in Paris, he wrote in the style of classicism and anti-ecclesiastical art. Croegart was particularly successful in genre paintings of elegant society women and humorous depictions of cardinals, performed in very realistic style, he is especially famous for his works on the theme of the clergy, and his work enjoyed extraordinary success at exhibitions in Paris, Brussels, Vienna, and in numerous cities in the United States
