Frederick Arthur Bridgman
American artist Frederick Arthur Bridgeman (1847 - 1928) can only be called American by his place of birth. Most of his "oriental" works he wrote in a cozy Parisian studio based on the numerous sketches and sketches that he made from nature, traveling through Algeria, Egypt and Morocco. His works were a resounding success not only due to the skill of the artist, but also, not least because of the heightened interest of the European society of those years in everything "oriental" and "exotic".
