Emile Vernon
Emile Vernon (fr. Paul Émile Vernon 1872 - 1920) is a French painter of the Belle Epoque. The Belle Epoque is a symbol for the period of European (primarily French and Belgian) history between the last decades of the 19th century and 1914. When you look at Vernon's paintings, it becomes obvious that in the 19th century, Europe was inhabited by some other race of beautiful creatures, which the cruel 20th century swept from the face of the planet, replacing them with us. Emile Vernon wrote what he liked most - adorable children, beautiful women, flowers delightful in their riot. An exquisitely gentle aristocratic era looks at the viewer from his paintings. The maestro portrayed her as she was, but added a little color, light and serenity. White-pink skin, a mysterious or sly look, serene smiles of models of any age make it possible to unmistakably recognize Vernon's works at any exhibition.
