Emil Galle
Outstanding designer and scientist Emil Galle was born in Nancy, France on May 8, 1846, in the family of an entrepreneur who produced art glass and ceramics. Emile Galle was a prominent representative of the Art Nouveau style. He worked in the "moonlight" technique, created works of multilayer glass (treated with dyes, acids and carvings), with a surface reminiscent of cameos made of transparent stone. He developed a whole series of glass products with floral motifs, made of laminated glass, which later brought him worldwide fame.
