Daniel Hernandez Morillo
Artist Daniel Hernandez Morillo (1856 - 1932) was born in Peru. In 1875 Daniel Hernandez Morillo received a scholarship from the Peruvian government and left for Europe to continue his studies. The artist studied in Italy for almost ten years, then moved to Paris, where he was very warmly received by the French public, regularly participated in exhibitions, and very soon became a successful artist. The artist's works cover various styles of genre painting - academic painting and then Impressionism. In 1918, the artist, at the invitation of the Peruvian government, returned to his homeland and until his death, in 1932, served as director of the National School of Art in Lima.
