Charles Monroe Schulz
Charles Monroe Schultz, nicknamed Sparky (1922-2000) is an American cartoonist, author of the Peanuts comic series about the boy Charlie Brown, his dog Snoopy and his friends, on whom he worked for fifty years. The series has received international acclaim and is considered one of the most successful comics of all time. Schultz was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.
