Bernard Kliban
Bernard Kliban was born on January 1, 1935 in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. He began to draw in elementary school.
Kliban took up seriously the art of caricature. He sold his first cartoon to Playboy Magazine. Collaboration with this magazine made him the most famous cartoonist in America. In 1975, "Cats" was published with a circulation of 15 thousand copies, which gave rise to a whole "clibanophilia": "Cats" and Cliban's subsequent humorous books became bestsellers, opening a new genre of humor. Bernard Kliban's success and fame were mainly due to these images of cats.
