Arturo Ricci
Arturo Ricci (1854-1919) An Italian neo-rococo painter who painted portraits and landscapes, but his favorite themes were graceful genre scenes, often in the Rococo style of the eighteenth century. Such decorative compositions were especially popular and adorned the walls of salons and luxurious living rooms. The artist has created a whole gallery of gallant scenes with smartly dressed ladies and courteous gentlemen, in which realism is combined with theatrical effects.
