Andreas Cellarius

Harmonia Macrocosmica, a collection of outstanding works by the famous German mathematician and astrologer Andreas Cellarius (1596-1665), takes us back to the Golden Age of celestial cartography. Harmonia Macrocosmica was first published in 1660 and was based on the teachings of famous astrologers, including Nicolaus Copernicus. The maps describe the movement of the sun and moon, the interaction of galactic systems. This is the most beautiful celestial atlas ever published. The original is at the Library of the University of Amsterdam.
