Alfred Emile Leopold Stevens

Alfred Emile Leopold Stevens (1823-1906) - Belgian painter. Initially he studied painting in Belgium, in 1844 he left for Paris, where he continued his studies in art workshops. He lived in Paris for many years, returning to his homeland several years before his death. The artist devoted himself almost exclusively to genre painting. With his works on the vibrant life of Paris, Stevens has won great popularity and positive reviews in the press. He especially succeeded in portraying beautiful women, young people, at the same time, sometimes he painted landscapes.
