Alekseev Fedor

Fedor Alekseev (1753 - 1824) - the first master of the urban landscape in Russian painting.
In 1800, Emperor Paul I instructed Alekseev to paint views of Moscow.
The artist was very carried away by old Russian architecture: Alekseev stayed in Moscow for over a year and brought from there a number of paintings and many watercolors with views of Moscow streets, monasteries, suburbs, but mainly - various images of the Kremlin
